Transfer Membership
Have you recently moved to Portland or Vancouver Metro area? Are you interested in transferring your Junior League membership from your former League? The Junior League has a 114-year history in the community, and we are committed to inclusive environments of diverse individuals, organizations and communities. Our membership is a diverse group of nearly 500 women who annually give hundreds of uncompensated hours of service to the projects and nonprofits supported by the League.
To transfer your membership you must first contact your current Junior League and ask them to transfer your membership to Portland, OR via the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) e-Transfer system.

Email address
Your current status (Active, Provisional or Sustainer)
PLEASE NOTE: After AJLI processes your transfer, you will receive an email confirmation directly from AJLI. From there, the Junior League of Portland will be notified by AJLI of your transfer request and a Junior League of Portland leader will contact you via the email address provided to complete your transfer. Your transfer into the Junior League of Portland is considered final when your profile is complete and any required dues and/or fees are paid.
ACTIVE TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS
The Junior League of Portland accepts Active Transfers on a rolling basis, thus depending on the time of year you transfer in, the requirements and opportunities will be different. All Active Transfers are welcome to join New Member Events to learn about our League as well as take part on a committee with other Actives. We also have a Transfers SIG (Special Interest Group) to help you get acclimated to your new city. Depending on the time of year you transfer in, a different percentage of your Active Dues are collected. Please email MembershipVP@JLPDX.org with any questions.
NEW MEMBER TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS
The Junior League of Portland, OR’s New Member (also known in some Leagues as Provisional) Class begins meeting in May each year. If your transfer is completed by July 15, you will join the current year’s New Member Class. If your transfer is completed after, that date you will be considered a New Member-in-Holding until the following year’s class begins. The Junior League of Portland’s Leader who completes your transfer will share your information with the New Member Committee as soon as your profile is complete. The New Member Committee will contact you at the email address provided with your transfer regarding the Provisional year as soon as details and information become available.
