The Junior League of Portland is proud to provide a $110,000 gift to New Avenues for Youth (NAFY) in honor of our 110th anniversary as a league. New Avenues for Youth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness. They provide basic needs such as meals, showers and counseling as well as opportunities for education, job training, employment and housing.

The Junior League began fundraising toward this goal in 2016 through a number of fundraising events over the years including Charity Ball, Rose City Women’s Summit, and Fashion it Forward. With support from league members and the community we were able to achieve our fundraising goal at the end of 2019.

In addition to this financial gift, the Junior League of Portland has purchased a work of art that will be displayed in the NAFY Youth Opportunity Center in East Multnomah County for years to come. During our virtual check presentation, we will reveal the work of art that represents the gift from the Junior League of Portland to New Avenues for Youth.
