JLP CAREs 2013

JLP CAREs 2013

The Junior League of Portland hosted its 4th JLP CAREs (Community Action and Revitalization Event) on October 5, 2013, a unique volunteer-a-thon event that combines fund development with community service.

At JLP CAREs, JLP members, family, friends and supporters united to raise funds to support mission of the Junior League of Portland.  Participants completed projects throughout the Portland metro area that directly impacted children and families by providing an army of trained volunteers for a day to various community organizations while being sponsored by genrous donors.

We activated 140 participants during JLP CAREs 2013, raising over $20,000 to continue promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community while also providing nearly 600 hours of community service in a single day.
